VicRoads purpose is to deliver social, economic and environmental benefits to communities throughout Victoria by managing the Victorian arterial road network and its use as an integral part of the overall transport system.

Chief Executive & Chief Operating Officer

VicRoads is structured around a number of divisions:

Commercial & Legal 
Manages the state’s commercial arrangements in relation to Victoria’s toll roads, specifically CityLink and EastLink, and VicRoads contractual and legal arrangements.

Corporate Services
Responsible for corporate services including finance, risk management, compliance, contract services, business planning, legal services and records management activities.

Major Projects
Delivers major road projects and looks after our environmental footprint.

Network & Asset Planning
Develops initiatives to best manage the network and reduce congestion.

People Services & Internal Communications
Works with managers and staff to develop our capabilities.

Regional Services
Responsible for the maintenance, operation and improvement of the arterial road network across the state. 

Registration & Licensing
Responsible for supporting road safety outcomes by providing registration and licensing services.

Road Safety & Network Access
Responsible for road safety and registration and licensing policies and programs; and the efficient and safe movement of heavy vehicles.

Technical & Information Services
Provides technical services, maintains technical capability and provides information and data systems.

There are also two business areas that report directly to the Chief Executive:

Corporate Communications
Responsible for media, strategic communications, the website and web 2.0

Corporate Policy & Planning
Provides policy, planning and executive support.
