Industry-Based Learning (IBL) is a program offered at undergraduate level in which students can obtain paid employment in an area related to their studies. IBL is offered at many Universities throughout Australia and is known by many names, including Cooperative Education and Sandwich Year. IBL placements are for either 3, 6 or 12 months.

VicRoads supports IBL by offering students the opportunity to put theory into practice while sampling working life at VicRoads.
