A major transport operation will take place this weekend (Saturday 21 November to Sunday 22 November) and will impact several roads between Melbourne and Geelong. Some delays will be experienced at various times and drivers should observe on-road signage to take advantage of localised detours.

Drivers may experience delays as the operation continues along the Princes Freeway to Mortlake including: Princes Freeway, Geelong Ring Road, Princes Highway, Birregurra Road, Warncoot Birregurra Road, McKinnons Bridge-Noorat Road, Terang Mortlake Road, Hamilton Highway, Connewarren Lane.
Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes and to allow additional travel time when planning trips.

VicRoads has found weaknesses in the timber construction of the Morning Star Creek Bridge on the Mansfield – Woods Point Road in Woods Point.
Due to the possibility of further deterioration VicRoads will set a weight limit of 4 tonnes until repair works to strengthen the bridge have finished. Additionally there will be a speed limit of 20 kph on the bridge to ensure a safe crossing.
During this time there is a detour for trucks and heavy vehicles in place from Jamieson via the Eildon-Jamieson Road, Goulburn Valley and Maroondah Highways and the Marysville-Woods Point and Warburton-Woods Point Road.
VicRoads urges trucks and heavy vehicles to obey the weight limit and apologises for the inconvenience.
VicRoads priority is to repair the structure to enable a safe and limitfree crossing as soon as possible.
