Description
The $55.6 million upgrade of Clyde Road between High Street and Kangan Drive is jointly funded by the Australian and Victorian Governments.

It will complete the four-lane divided road link along Clyde Road from Thompson Road, Cranbourne North, to High Street, Berwick.

The upgrade will improve safety and traffic flow along Clyde Road and aims to enhance the character of the area.

Works are set to start in late 2011 and be completed by late 2013.

The Clyde Road Upgrade will include:

• two lanes each way between High Street to Kangan Drive
• creating a boulevard feel with trees down either side of Clyde Road and the median
• intersection improvement at Enterprise Avenue
• new traffic lights at the Mansfield Street/Langmore Lane and Reserve Street intersections including signalised pedestrian crossings
• dedicated bike lanes on both sides of Clyde Road
• dedicated pedestrian paths on both sides of Clyde Road
• on-street parking along the west side of Clyde Road
• upgrade of High Street intersection to improve safety
