Order online – fast and easy
The best way to replace your licence, marine licence or learner permit is through your myVicRoads account. This is your online VicRoads account where you can manage your licence and vehicle details.
Here are the steps:
- Log in to your myVicRoads account
- Go to 'My Account'
- Click 'Licences and Learner Permits'
- Scroll down to the bottom and click 'Licence replacement'
- Check your details and click 'continue'
- Pay securely by VISA or Mastercard (a card fee applies)
- Your digital driver licence will update within 1-2 days in the myVicRoads app
- Your plastic licence will be sent to the address we have on file and should arrive within 10 working days.

Are you interstate or overseas?
You can still order a replacement online, following the steps above.
- Your new card will be mailed to your recorded address within 10 working days.
- If you’re overseas, allow 2 - 4 weeks for delivery

Use your digital driver licence as proof
While you’re waiting for your new plastic licence, you can show your digital driver licence on your phone. Find out how to get your digital driver licence on your phone.
If you don’t have a digital driver licence, we’ll also give you a receipt number that you can carry when driving, until your plastic licence arrives.
Stolen licence?
Report it to your local police station, then order a replacement online. Your new card will have a different card number, but your licence number stays the same.
