Reassign or cancel the club permit of someone who has died
You can reassign or cancel a club permit as long as you are the authorised representative of the estate.
To complete any transactions associated with club permits, you will need to prove that you are the authorised representative of the estate. We recommend you do everything related to the deceased estate in one trip to a VicRoads Customer Service Centre.
Reassign a club permit
A club permit can only be reassigned to the spouse or domestic partner of the person who has died, as long as they are also a member of an approved club.
To reassign the club permit, you’ll need to visit a
VicRoads Customer Service Centre with a completed
Club Permit reassignment form (PDF 95kB). This will need to be signed by the spouse or domestic partner of the person who has died and an authorised officer of the club.
Cancel a club permit
If you can’t reassign the club permit, or no longer need it, you can cancel it.
To cancel a club permit, you’ll need to visit a VicRoads Customer Service Centre. You will only need to return the club permit number plates if we ask you to do so.
