Apply for a licence exemption

There are different types of exemptions. For more information, see the list of exemption types from the Transport Victoria website:

• 120 hours of supervised driving exemption
• learner permit minimum holding time exemption
• passenger restriction exemption
• peer passenger restriction exemption
• probationary prohibited vehicles
• heavy vehicle driver licence exemption.

When scanning your documents, please make sure that they’re in focus and readable. If we can’t read your documents this might cause a delay in your application being assessed.

You can use a mobile phone to scan your documents and then upload the files on our website.

Make sure single files don’t exceed 2 MB. You can upload up to 10 files with a combined file size of 10 MB.
