When your P2 licence period is nearly complete, we'll send you a 3‑year licence renewal notice.
You can renew your licence by paying the fee and, if required, updating your photo.
Once processed, your full licence will take effect as soon as your P2 period ends. Please allow 1-2 days for your digital licence to update.
If your P2 end date is earlier than your licence expiry date, you won't get a renewal notice or new card until your licence expires.
You'll still become a full licence driver after the P2 end date.
If you did not commit any traffic‑related offences during your 4 year probationary period, you may be eligible for a free licence renewal as a reward for safe driving.
