Remember, if you have a digital driver licence, you no longer need to carry a plastic licence, while driving in Victoria.
If you want to replace your plastic licence, the easiest way is to order a new one is through your myVicRoads account.
In the meantime, you can use your digital driver licence. This is a quick, easy and secure way to show your licence and is now available to all Victorians in the myVicRoads app.
Simply download the app or log in to your myVicRoads account.

Go to Licence replacement and follow the prompts. You’ll need to pay a small replacement fee by using a VISA or Mastercard*. Your replacement licence will use your existing photo, so there’s no need to take a new one.
Once you’ve submitted the form, you’ll receive a receipt number. Keep this number handy if you don’t have a digital driver licence.
Remember, you can continue driving with your digital driver licence while you wait for your plastic licence to arrive.
You’ll receive your plastic licence in the mail within 10 working days. If you’re overseas, this may take between two to four weeks to be delivered.
If your licence was stolen, the first thing you need to do is report it to your local police station. Then follow the steps above to order a licence replacement.
When you order a replacement licence, your licence number will stay the same, but you will be given a new card number. Having both a licence number and card number makes it harder for your identity to be stolen.
You can access your card number from within your myVicRoads account (click the Licences & Learner Permits button) or by clicking on your licence in the myVicRoads app.
